QUESTIONS ANSWERED
How does White Spa teeth whitening work?
White Spa is revolutionary, combining a gentle whitening gel with a powerful light delivering the strongest cold-light accelerated whitening technology through 12000 optical fibres and 30 layers of optical glass.
This power whitening technology uses a precise 480nM to 520nM cold cyan-blue light, filtering out 100% of harmful UV and infra red,
and does not rely on food additives and top up home treatments to achieve results.
How many treatments will I need and how long do they take?
One treatment. One hour.
I can get UV whitening for half the price? What makes White Spa so special?
To begin with, there's no UV and therefore none of the dangers associated with ultraviolet light.
Second, there's no discomfort from heat. White Spa uses cold light, while systems used by most dentists and budget-priced salons use heat.
Third, due to the unique properties of cold light, the bleach is very low
dose, which means it's gentle on gums.
Basically, it's apples and oranges. There is no salon system in Australia today that compares directly to White Spa.
I had a blue light treatment somewhere else and it's very high maintenance.
Then it wasn't White Spa.
There are other
systems around that produce a blue coloured light, however they rely on a food-additive based gel to achieve a result. It's then up to you to top it up with a special gel twice every week or the result will fade.
With White Spa, forget all that. This is the real deal, designed by dental technicians especially for beauty professionals,
not just a cosmetic cover up with a quick but short-lived result.
How long will it last?
Used in conjunction with regular brushing and good lifestyle habits, your White Spa treatment should last up to two years.
Will White Spa teeth whitening produce as good a result as a dentist?
The White Spa System is the same technology used in dental offices for power whitening, and the results are comparable. White Spa Whitening Gel is designed to be safely administered by aesthetic professionals.
White Spa Whitening Gel does not change or damage the structure of teeth. It simply
makes them appear whiter and brighter.
Is teeth whitening for everyone?
White Spa is ideal for removing stains caused by smoking, medication, coffee, and cola drinks. It is also effective for teeth discoloured by age.
Anyone with normal healthy teeth and gums can use White Spa, however it is generally accepted that pregnant women and children under 16 years of age do not undertake teeth whitening treatments.
It is not recommended for teeth with open cavities, exposed nerves, or a build up of plaque. Nor is it a substitute for
regular dental checkups. If your teeth or gums are in poor condition, see your dentist first.
Will teeth whitening work on fillings and crowns?
Teeth whitening of any kind only works on natural teeth. When you go to the dentist for a filling or crown, they match the colour with your surrounding teeth. That colour is artificial and won't whiten.
What are the side effects?
Some people may experience mild sensitivity to hot and cold foods for the next 24 hours.
During this time, you should avoid any food or drink that is too hot, too cold, or dark in colour. You should also avoid smoking.
A tube of Beyond Pearl White toothpaste is also provided free with each treatment
so you can make
the most of your new smile.
Should I brush my teeth beforehand?
To minimise the chance of gum discomfort caused by brushing, we recommend that you brush no closer than 6 hours before your treatment.
It's also best if you don't wear lipstick or lip gloss to your appointment.
Can I combine teeth whitening with other treatments while I'm there?
Yes. SIPL Hair Removal and Photo Rejuvenation can be performed at the same time, just not on the face. Facial areas can be treated straight after your Teeth Whitening treatment.
To further enhance your new white smile, a spray tan is another popular option to consider after your treatment.
